A Letter from the Founder

I came into background screening almost by accident.

While working as a workplace investigator, I kept hearing the same frustrations from employers: background checks were slow, manual and difficult to manage. Candidates often had an equally poor experience.

Then I went through a background check myself. What had been an industry problem became personal.

I knew screening could be done better.

In 2013, I founded InterCheck with a simple goal: make background screening easier to use and provide better support for both clients and candidates.

We built a strong business in Australia, but growth taught me an important lesson. As we added more checks, more customers and more complexity, the technology that had helped us get started eventually became the thing holding us back.

You can't build the future of screening on technology designed for the past.

We rebuilt the platform from the ground up, and in 2023 InterCheck was acquired by Certn.

But the experience stayed with me.

I knew the industry. I knew what worked. And I knew what I would do differently if I had the opportunity to start again.

That opportunity became CheckPro.

Businesses have changed. The technology they use has changed. And expectations around software, service and support have changed with them.

But parts of background screening haven't kept pace.

Legacy systems, rigid workflows and traditional service models can still create unnecessary friction for businesses and candidates.

CheckPro is being built differently from the start.

We're combining years of background screening experience with modern technology, thoughtful design and genuine human support.

We want businesses to be able to get started more easily, understand what they need, work in a way that suits them and get real help when something goes wrong.

And we believe candidates deserve a better experience too.

We're not trying to put a new interface on the old way of doing things.

We're building CheckPro to be the modern alternative to traditional background screening.
